Start by sitting down with the legs bent, so the sole of the right foot is against the left thigh, place the left leg in front of the right leg and the heels in front of the pubic bone. Keep the back straight, inhale and bring the hands together between the sternum, in the prayer position.
Press the hands together, keep the spine long, the shoulders down and the elbows open. Stay in this posture for about 2 to 5 minutes or as long as it is comfortable.
This posture can be used at the beginning and the end of your yoga practice for relaxation and meditation.
