Lyndsy Fonseca prefers to keep in shape with a combination of full body workouts and cardiovascular training, usually treadmill, elliptical or jogging. She does light resistance training to keep her muscles well toned to improve her sexy curves. It also helps to win her action roles.

Gym Workouts

Lydsey has been working out at the gym since she was 19 years old. She explained how she started to gain weight during puberty and needed to get in shape, so she joined a private gym that was run by Chad Landers. Chad Landers has now been helping Lyndsey to get in shape throughout most of her career. In her client testimonial for PUSH Fitness you can see her working out with kettlebells, hanging knee raises and doing unassisted pull ups.

Her strength workouts are designed to give her a leaner and fitter look but to maintain her curves. For this it is about focusing on strength training and working the whole body by using the big compound weight training exercises. She says that she feels empowered as a result of her fitter and stronger body.

“My name is Lyndsy and I have been empowered”

Running

She likes to run both on a treadmill and outdoors. She once Tweeted: “Spent the morning running on the beach with @MaggieQ look at the swans!!!!” – 2:00 PM – 6 Mar 12

She also shared a photo of herself running on a treadmill in a gym with her dog, and Tweeted:

“We went to the gym today. Thanks @chadlanders http://instagr.am/p/KyAMD0ROU-/

Although these are her only Tweet about running, it does suggest that she at least enjoys the occasional run and certainly looks confident on a treadmill – something that requires plenty of experience.

Child Dancer

She has a good foundation in fitness through years of dancing he used to dance around 18 hours a week as a child, but stopped as an adult. It was only after she stopped dancing that she started to gain weight and lose acting jobs as a result.

She also describes tab dancing being fun. Tap dancing is a very energetic form of dance and will burn a lot of calories.

Diet and Nutrition Tips

Calorie controlled diet is the way to stay in shape. Meals consist of healthy portions of carbohydrates (low GI carb choices), proteins and fats. Lyndsy understands the importance of eating a healthy and balanced diet to maintain a healthy weight.

She likes big leafy salads so much that she photographs them to share on Twitter! Antonio Meleca was the chef on the Nikita set and he certainly impressed Lyndsy.

“Another incredibly yummy lunch by @tonemeleca !!!!!! pic.twitter.com/zjuXND2q”

Many people make the mistake of only controlling calories and not eating a good balance of food. This results in too much starch, too much energy and not enough nutrients. Eating a low GI diet with lean proteins ensures that you get all the nutrients you require without overdosing on energy.

She is in great shape and it is totally attributed to working out hard.
