A Few Reminders to Help You Crush Everyday Life

From time to time, it’s necessary to have some reminders that can help to set you back on the right track, so that you can crush those everyday challenges and achieve your dreams to the best of your ability.

Here are a few of those reminders.


Not all habits and activities are equal – look to optimise your “keystone habits”

There are all sorts of different everyday habits and activities that you likely engage in – or that you feel you should engage in – which will have some impact on how your life, as a whole, ends up playing out.

It’s important to remember, though, that not all habits and activities are equal – and if you’re looking to really seize the day and make the most of every possible moment, it’s worth focusing your energies on optimising your “keystone habits.”

“Keystone habit” is a term used by the writer Charles Duhigg, in his book “The Power of Habit.” It refers to habits which have a disproportionately powerful effect on your life – often by triggering a cascade of other related habits.

For many people, things like waking up at a set time each morning and beginning the day with an exercise routine can fit this description.

Often, just dealing with things quickly can avert major setbacks

There are always going to be things that you need to deal with which are important, and where failing to deal with them could cause serious complications. Only last week one client was losing focus on fitness because they were struggling with registering for indefinite leave to remain, something you can only grasp if you’re a foreign national living in the UK on a temporary visa, but we digress. One great reminder to help you to stay on top of everyday life, is to simply keep in mind that many major potential setbacks and issues can be completely averted simply by dealing with the situation in question early and quickly enough.


By training yourself out of the habit of indefinite procrastination, and by tackling those chores that you don’t want to deal with today, promptly, you can completely flip the script and put yourself much more in the driver’s seat in a variety of different ways.

A lot simply comes down to how much momentum you can build

Whenever you are looking for ways to be as productive and outgoing as possible, it’s worth keeping in mind that momentum, in and of itself, has tremendous power and often  spills over from one area of your life to another.

If you’re feeling driven, energetic, and enthusiastic because of your new workout routine, there’s a good chance that you will also be more driven and energetic with regards to your entrepreneurial business plans.

Sitting still is generally the worst way of getting anything done. Make a point of trying to generate as much positive momentum as you can each day.
