Kelly Osbourne has lost weight and is looking good. Although it is reported that she once considered a gastric band to help manage her weight, like her mom used, she eventually found guidance from her dance partner on Dancing With The Stars. Kelly Loses 48 pounds Kelly lost approximately 48 pounds since appearing on the reality TV dance show, which is an excellent transformation. She is looking very slim and healthy at the moment, and it is all down to eating a good diet and performing regular exercise. No gastric banding or weight loss pills were required. “I never thought in a million years I would be a girl in a bikini.” Kelly went to see her doctor first, and advises everyone to see their doctor if they plan to lose a lot of weight, to check that you are fit to start an intensive weight loss plan. Kelly Osbourne’s Diet She admits that she never used to attempt to eat a healthy diet at all. It was only after being on Dancing With The Stars that her dance partner, Louis Van Amstel, taught Kelly how to eat a healthy and nutritious diet. Dancers need to ensure that they are well nourished to [...]

Kelly Osbourne Loses Weight With Help From Her Dance Partner

Kelly Ripa is in the news at the moment for making a funny remark about herself. She says that when she is working out in the gym she looks more like Peter Pan than Kelly Ripa. Who is Kelly Ripa? Kelly is a television presenter that is possibly most famous for Live with Regis and True Jackson, VP. She is also a mother of 3. Kelly Ripa is in great shape, but this was not always the case. She used to smoke, but managed to give up in 2007. She has made some workout videos too to help others lose weight and get fit. Kelly Ripa’s Diet Kelly does not follow any set diet plan, instead she just eats a healthy range of foods and keeps her portions under control. This is really the best type of diet anyone can have – you control your food intake yourself. The key is to learn how much food you need and what foods are good for you. She does ensure that she gets lot of proteins and keeps refined carbs to a minimum which helps control appetite.

The Killer 550 Rep Challenge First up Zuzana takes us through here 550 rep bodyweight workout. The aim is to perform 50 reps of each of the 11 exercises as quickly as possible. Time yourself today and then aim to improve on the time each workout. Zuzana jokes that this is just a warm up for her, and it is probably true judging by the amazing shape she is in. If you want a simple but effective workout then this is an excellent choice. All you need is the space the size of a yoga mat. If you want you could reduce the reps for each exercise to 10 and perform it as a circuit. Aim to perform 10 circuits so that you are still doing all 550 reps. This has the advantage that if you run our of steam half way through you at least have performed all the exercises and given yourself a full body workout. Also by doing it as a circuit you can shorten the length of the workout and use it as a 15 minute power workout in the morning. High Intensity 12 Minute Bodyweight Workout Here Zuzana takes us through another intensive home workout. It is [...]

Zuzana’s Killer 550 Rep Challenge + High Intensity Bodyweight Workout

Paul Bettany is slowly developing into a bit of an action hero. We first saw his body when he was running with no clothes on, having lost his clothes in a bet, the the film A Knights Tale. At that time he was slim, but verging on skinny. Then in Wimbledon he looked a little more buff, but still more like Tim Henman than Andy Murray. Now in his latest film, Legion, Paul Betteny looks like a true action hero – strong, defined muscles, athletic and powerful. So, how has he done it? Well, luckily the popular fitness magazine Men’s Fitness spoke with Paul Bettany the other day. Here are the juicy details. Paul Bettany is 38 years old, (2010) and stands at 6 foot 3 tall. He received fitness training guidance from a New York trainer called Mike Hood. To get Paul trimmed and toned Mike got him doing intensive circuit training workouts 5 days a week. The focus was on abs exercises then full body exercises. Paul was slim already, so did not have much fat to burn off. The workout kept his heart rate up high to ensure that he got very fit as well as strong.

The Beast is the name given to the ultimate circuit training challenge. If you have been training for a while, you may well have a higher than average level of fitness, but you may not be pushing yourself to the limits. This workout will determine how fit you really are. If you have ever attended a military boot camp fitness class, then you will have a good idea of what to expect. Until they have “Tamed The Beast”, you are still not a true athlete. Here is the Beast’s Three Day Schedule: Day 1: Complete Rest This may seem like an odd way to start an ultimate circuit training workout, but if you are thinking of doing the beast today, and were working out yesterday, forget about it. You need rest, otherwise you will not have replenished your energy reserves fully, and you my over-train, risk injury, and fail. Use this day to refuel, eat plenty of good carbs to build up the glycogen reserves, plus your usual proteins. Spend the day relaxing (or working). Day 2: Active Rest Go for a gentle run, for about half an hour, or cycle ride.
