Hi Vivky, if you drop to 97 kg you will be underweight. This is not healthy. You should instead focus on getting fit - join some sports, athletics or fitness clubs, such as dance, martial arts or running.

Hi Jaelynne, according to your BMI you are not overweight. You will be OK to drop to 115 pounds, but 100 pounds will mean that you are underweight. As you are currently a healthy weight the best thing you can do is start exercising on a regular basis. Now is the time to find some active hobbies to do, or join a sports team etc.

Hi Kelly, you should focus on being more active and get fit. Sports and exercise. At 103 pounds you are already underweight, you do not need to lose more weight, you need to tone up and eat healthy to grow and develop well.

Hi Morgan, if you were overweight and prepared to train hard and diet, then you could lose 15 pounds in a month. But as you are at a normal weight, this will be harder. The best you can do is exercise every day for around 60-90 minutes and eat a lean and well balanced diet.

Hi Tess. About 63.5029318 kg? Please be more specific :).
Your BMI is about 24.0 which means you are at the upper end of being a normal weight. This is good. Now focus on getting more exercise so that you become fitter and stronger. The best exercise is the one you enjoy the most. Just do it often - at least 3 times a week, ideally more.

Hi Emily, somewhere in the region of 2100 to 2350 Calories a day should be sufficient. Make sure that they are healthy calories though, limit the junk food and sugar. If you are active, fit and eating healthy then you should be OK!

Hi there! I am a 5'5" 15 year old girl, and I weigh 141 pounds. I am very active and have a good but of muscle. Recently I have been cutting back on what I've been eating, but I just wanted to get an opinion on the amount of calories I should be eating per day.

Hi Monica, really you should try to exercise every day. Do you ever get exercise induced asthma attacks? I know some people do, but many others do not. Doctor's advice is generally to get fit to reduce asthma problems. Start with light exercise at a steady pace to avoid stressing the body, so light jogging or elliptical, or even walking. Just work on your fitness and maintain a healthy diet.

I know that I am overweight, however, I have been trying to lose weight for about a year now. I have lost a couple pounds here and there, but not enough for anyone to really notice. It gets frustrating. I have severe asthma, and its hard for me to exersice like I want to. I'm hoping if I lose weight, I will be able to get my breathing under controll. I am 17, I am about 5 feet. I am around 180.
I would like some advice on what I can do.

Hi Michaela, you need to start exercising, aim to do 60 minutes a day and eat a healthy diet, reduce calories too. Get active! Long walks with the push chair is a good way to burn some calories too.

Hi Nathan, at 16 you are old enough to do pretty much as you please. So if you want to exercise 2 hours a day and eat healthy, do not do this in private. Just get out and do it. What could be really good for you is to find a club you can join. Martial arts, especially kickboxing styles, provide excellent workouts and give you the added motivation. No need you are telling people that you want a good body, tell them you want to learn to defend yourself.

Hey, I'm 16 years old, roughly 5'8", and weigh about 145 pounds. I'm not really that fat, especially in the eyes of other people. I just used to be really chubby when I was younger and since then, I've lost a lot of that. I still feel fat though. I only have a little bit of a stomach that I've been sucking in since 7th grade (when I finally got thinner). I refuse to ever be seen without a shirt on, even when swimming. I'm extremely self-conscious about my body and I don't have support from ANYONE. My family and friends think I act like I'm uncomfortable with myself for attention and are never there for me. I eat pretty healthily too. I don't eat meat aside from chicken on occasions, and recently gave up soda. It's not like I'm overweight at all, I just really need to lose some weight. I'm not really even looking to gain muscle, I just really want to be lean. I want a flat chest and a stomach I don't have to suck in - like so many other people around me that I would give anything to look like. I mean, what kind of exercises can remove my belly fat and any fat on my chest? Every night I do push ups, sits ups, and planks. Again, keep in mind that it's difficult for me to go on an obvious diet or go to a gym with my family and friends constantly surveying me. I just really want a body I can feel comfortable with by next year, or this summer. Please help (:
