Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus in The A Team – His MMA Workouts

Quinton Jackson is better known as Rampage Jackson the UFC mixed martial arts fighter. In his latest movie role he plays BA Baracus in the film version of The A Team. BA was originally played by Mr. T who like Jackson was a pro wrestler before becoming an actor.

Rampage Jackson was born in 1978. He held the UFC Light-Heavyweight title (84-93kg), beating Dan Henderson in May 2007. He also beat Dan Henderson in the Pride FC in 2008.

His main TV appearance outside of the ring was as one of the coaches in the reality series The Ultimate Fighter. He has also appeared as guest host on WWE Monday Night Raw and appeared in a Nike commercial. He also appeared in TV show Sports Science which looked at the hardest hitting martial artists. He has been in several films including Bad Guys, The Midnight Meat Train, Death Warrior, Miss March and Never Surrender (an MMA film that featured many fighters including Anderson Silva) and Confessions of a Pit Fighter, another MMA film featuring Argentinian fighter Hector Echavarria.

Most of his fitness training is MMA / martial arts training. Functional strength training, specific fighting drills – boxing, grappling, wrestling, kicking etc. Compound weight training exercises to build core and leg strength are also vital, so squats and deadlifts are worked hard. For upper body shoulder presses, bench presses, bent over rows, pull ups and curls are the key exercises.

  1. I was wondering, will there be an article in the near future on Bradley Cooper? I’ve noticed that the last few movies that he’s done, he has been in outstanding shape!
