Fight Colds with Garlic Tea

Many people start taking multivitamins and massive amounts of vitamin C when a cold starts to take a hold on their immune system. We prefer to take more drastic action, and the answer is always Garlic Tea.

Obviously this is not actually tea, but more a potion. Here is how to make garlic tea.

    continued below ....

  • Chop and crush 2 cloves of garlic and place in a pan of hot water
  • Add about 6 cloves (the little black twig things).
  • Simmer in a pan for about 5 minutes
  • Chop a lemon, squeeze the juice into a cup
  • Add the peel into the pan, pound it a bit
  • Filter the garlic tea into the cup
  • Add a spoon of honey and stir

Garlic has natural anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which is why it helps to fight off colds. At the first signs of a cold – sore throat, runny nose etc. make a cup of garlic tea. The first few times will be unpleasant, but in time you should grow more accustomed to the taste and may even start to enjoy your garlic medicinal tea!
