5 Tips to Stay Slim When You Eat Out

When you are on a diet to lose weight it can be hard to enjoy a meal out without worrying about breaking your diet. If you follow these simple rules you will be able to enjoy a great meal out and maintain a healthy eating as the same time.

  1. Avoid fried food. Opt for baked, grilled, poached or steamed food. If it is not clear how the food is prepared check with the waiter.
  2. Choose plenty of salads and extra portions of vegetables.
  3. If the restaurant serves large meal portions – ask the waiter for half size portions.
  4. Opt to have the sauce and dressing aside from your meal. So you can choose how much to have.
  5. You can also share a starter or dessert with your companion – in this way you can enjoy something you fancy and avoid overindulging at the same time.
