Jessie J’s Healthy Lifestyle

Jessie JJessie J has suddenly shot to stardom, she really has become an overnight success. If you saw her on Graham Norton you will know that she is in great shape. So, how does she keep so fit?

Well, her physique is mostly down to the fact that she lives a very healthy lifestyle. She revealed to Now Magazine that at a very young age she was diagnosed with having an irregular heart beat. She spent a lot of time in hospital and had to have wires connected up to her body to pass electric currents through to keep her heart beating properly. When Jessie J was just 18 years old she had a minor stroke.

Because of her health issues she has vowed to live a clean and healthy life. She does not smoke, drink alcohol and says that she will never touch drugs.

“Having bad health has made me realise I can’t take anything for granted and I must look after my body.”

So her wonderful figure is simply down to the fact that she eats a healthy diet, never over eats, and does not stress her body either. This in itself is a lesson for the rest of us. You do not need to go to the gym 6 times a week to stay in shape – if you live a healthy life.

“More than anything it shook me into a place where it doesn’t matter how old you are, you have to get on with life and not take it for granted. It’s helped me a lot on how I am as a person and my outlook on life.” Interview with The Independent.

She has taken her childhood experiences and turned them into songs. The song “Big White Room” is about her memory of a friend on her ward in hospital who died during his operation. Her last memory of him was seeing him praying on his bed with his mother late at night. Jessie J did not understand at the time why their prayers did not work.

Jessie J is a wonderfully vibrant and cheerful young lady, and we hope that she stays that way for a long time.
