SUPER BOWL XLIV: New Orleans Saints v Indianapolis Colts
No CommentsIt is finally Super Bowl weekend. Tomorrow the 44th Super Bowl takes place at the Sun Life Stadium in Florida.
The match sees the New Orleans Saints take on the Indianapolis Colts in Miami. This is the first time the Saints have ever made it to the Super Bowl, and will prove to be an historic and emotional night for them. Their City has been through so much after the Katrina hurricane, and this night will hopefully lift the spirits of both New Orleans and the nation.
After the Katrina hurricane the Saint’s own football stadium, then Superdome, became an emergency shelter for thousands of people that had lost their homes. The Saint’s themselves lost their stadium and played their home games in various stadiums around the USA. But in 2006 the Saints returned home and since then there has been a greater team effort, a real united, determined strength to win. The players and the fans are totally dedicated to one goal – the victory at the Super Bowl.
The Saint’s coach is Sean Payton, and he has been attributed as the real source for their amazing come back.
It will be a great Super Bowl final tomorrow. Let’s hope all the top players have been keeping their fitness levels up and are fueled up and ready to go!
