A Reminder of the Risks of Gastric Bypass Surgery

Sad news this week after the death of a young mother who developed complications after gastric bypass surgery. Although patients are made aware of possible complications, few seem to really grasp how major this surgery is. When people are losing weight through support groups, dieting and exercise, it is truly sad to hear of a young child losing her mother in such a way. Source: BBC News
