You have decided you want to exercise at home. There are hundreds of pieces of home cardio equipment available. The most popular are treadmills and exercise bikes. In deciding between the two, you should compare long-term sustainability, the effectiveness of the workouts, and safety. Exercise equipment varies great in quality. Buying top of the range equipment such as Pro Form, Nautilus, Steelflex or Sole Treadmills, means that you get better after care than you may with cheaper brands. For exercise bikes the high end ranges include Tunturi Electromagnetic exercise bikes, Trixter Light Commercials (also good robust bikes for intensive home use) and Schwinn Evolution exercise bikes.

You can’t beat a mountain bike. The wind in your hair, views, etc. Wicked.

Exercising outdoors is generally preferable to indoors, but sometimes people do not have that luxury, which is a real shame.
There is also no comparison to walking in the hills to walking on a treadmill. But if you want to get fit, and do not have time to get out in the fresh air and experience nature, then home exercise equipment is often the only option.

We recommend a stationery bike for long-term fitness as it is less stressful on the leg joints over the long term.
