Sandy, I'm very happy for you that they're working. Are you using the real ones or the "homemade" beads? I just used plain old snaps stuck onto cut pieces of medical tape, but it made my ears irritated. I did loose 3.2# in a very short time though and I felt really energized, but my ears kept draining even though I changed them every day and used alcohol. I guess I'm just allergic. That's great you've lost weight without changing your eating habits. I think that's one thing that stalls people from loosing weight, having to change the way they eat. Or at least having to take away foods that they like. After a while, they stop the diet and go back to eating the foods they like. Maybe these accu beads are really the magic bullet we're all looking for. Keep posting and let us know if you reach your goal weight. Then I wonder do you just have to wear the beads one day a week? One day a month? To maintain the weight loss. good luck.

I was really dumb and ordered the product and then started my research by looking on this site. Well, fortunately, after I ordered the bead containers, I called back and asked for a refund. He asked "Why?" and I said well I just saw 5,000 responses saying that it didn't work. He replied, "Well do you believe everything you read?!" Well "no, but when 5,000 say it doesn't work and like 5 say it does, then I do believe what I read, lol! Thanks everyone.

I went to the scrapbook section of a local discount store and found a package of something called "dimensional pearl stickers." They look remarkably like the beads so I bought them and put one on the back of my ear. The package costs $2 for 60 beads, so I am happy to use them to experiment with. Looking at an acupressure chart, I think about a third of the way up on the cartilage part of the ear is the best place to put the pressure. I'll let you know if it works.

Well, my ears cleared up after about 4 days. Now, I just got a new weight loss package in the mail selling "THE SIZE ZERO PATCH". I'm wondering if these are the same people selling the beads? It's a time release patch. They say you will be a size zero in days. It says 100% natural in one spot then in another it says:"Regular patches quickly release the drugs into your bloodstream producing a rapid and high concentration in the body, followed by a sharp decline. The Time-Release Patch maintains the perfect range in between; releasing at a constant rate over a period of time." Sounds like drugs to me. It also says NOW AVAILABLE IN THE USA. Why is the US letting all these schemers sell their phony stuff here? Next we'll be reading about people that have lost their lives from using these patches. They are even offering you $250 if you use it for 30 days and have lost 48 pounds. They are called The Healthy-Weight Centers of America, St. Petersburg, FL People that are overweight are bomb barded all the time with adds like these. I pray no one is that desperate.
The beads can actually work. What you do is go to the park and then throw them as far as possible, then run after them. When you find them, pick them up, and repeat.

Well, I am so glad I did not purchase the beads! After 7 days of wearing the
"homemade snap bead" behind my right ear I had to just stop wearing it. My right ear is so irritated. Liquid just keeps seeping from my ear lobes. I have 3 pierced holes for earings on my earlobes. I have not worn any earings since putting the beads behind my ears though. I started with the left ear for 9 days, 9-8 to 9-17. I used medical tape and changed it everyother day because it was sticky and it did hurt sometimes. Then when I started on the right ear, 9-17 I used a non latex bandage that I cut to size. Well, I changed it everyday and used alcohol, but it still irritated my ear. So, after 7 days on my right ear, I'm calling it quits! I haven't been on the scale so I don't know if I've lost anymore weight or not. I've never been alergic to any kind of earings in the past, but maybe now the metal in the snap bead? I don't know. I'm only very thankful that I didn't pay out any money for them. I would like to know how any others have faired with the beads? Thanks. Rose

Well, today was day 9 of wearing the "homemade" snap bead behind my left ear. I weighed myself this morning and I lost 3.2# in 9 days. I must say I have had more energy and so I have been using my Tony Little Gazelle 20 minutes everyday, 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the afternoon. My eating hasn't changed, still eating healthy, I eat from the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid everyday. I found myself pressing the bead several times a day to stimulate it. Today I changed the bead from my left ear to my right ear for the next 9 days. We'll see what happens. So far, so good. Now 111 more pounds to go!

Thank you Lissa for your great idea! I made a "snap bead" with medical tape and put it behind my left ear about 20 minutes ago. Also thank you Heidi for all your research info. I'll change to my right ear in 9 days and of course also weigh myself. I'm also greatful for this site, thank you MotleyHealth for all the info. I have been doing Think and Lose for 2 months, (hypnosis) for weight loss and I have lost 10# in 2 months, eating very healthy and doing minimal exercise because I have very bad arthritis in both my knees and I need both knee replacements. I just thought speeding up my metabolism would be a great boost. I really wanted to try the Accu-trim beads but not for $136.90. So doing the homemade snap bead was a 'aha moment' !! Thank you all for the great comments on this sight. I'll be back in 9 days to let you know what results I have. I have 114 pounds more to shed to reach my goal weight.

I had to lose 12 lbs. I did it in three weeks. I used my homemade snap/medical tape bead and cut my portions in about half. I put the bead on when I feel I might be gaining weight. So far so good. It still is the cheap and easy way to try it out.

My mother sent me the flyer about accu trim beads a few days ago. After reading all this info I'm not too sure if I want to try them. She tried them and says she has lost 25lbs in a couple months. I need to loose much more than that and have been thinking about surgry as mobility problems keep me from losing weight. Its not what I eat but I have too big an appetite. I'm an overeater and realize it.

Dear People I think basically most programs want to just to sell their product. I know and understand it's not easy being overweight or suffering from obesity. I was 275pds September 2008. I was with La weight loss! mind u that program was really good but it went bankrupt. So since September I have manage to loose weight on my own without anyone support but myself. I try and eat little portions. 5 to 6 times a day. and mostly I enjoy walking. It's not easy. Yes i do cheat a bit but if i am craving for some sweet I do eat a little not the whole thing. Mostly i eat fruits such has dates figs .... and not to mention my veggies... proteins fibers whole wheat.... I was stupid to buy that accutrim beads. I said to myself I will try it. U see how intriguing it can get to be lead on.

Denise, it does appear that all the "success stories" are because people went on the diet at the same time as wearing the beads. So yes, they are a waste of money. You are living proof that you do not need to wear the beads to lose weight. Well done on losing 95 pounds with diet/exercise.

Heidi, how much do you weigh? 14 pounds in 2 weeks is fast weight loss, and not really healthy. Are you exercising and eating healthily? I hope you are not starving yourself! Take it easy.

WARNING: There appears to be a new marketing campaign in the USA for these beads, and even a new website under construction. It seems that the man behind it is deluded as ever, and this time is doing a grand job in dissuading people from adopting a healthy lifestyle. I quote (from an email received this morning):

"Dr. George L. Bingham says, 'The truth is- we all want to be slim, trim and healthy- but none of us want to diet! By placing the Accu-Trim weight loss beads behind the ear they gently stimulate acupressure points that rev up metabolism and quickly burn away unwanted bulges."

So no-one wants to diet, and spot reduction is possible? Hmmm. Back to the gym people. Ignore this junk mail!

Tina, do what I am doing if you read my comment, I also bougth the Accubeads and I am just simply taking advantage of it. I am wearing them, but I just wear one and I change the tape on the back because as soon as you take a shower the backing comes off. I am doing that plus I am doing the diet that I mentioned earlier and I am very exited to say that it has help me control the cravings and with the diet that I started 3 days ago I've lost 6 lbs! :-) but I did a lot of research as to exactly where they have to go to control your hunger and you can only have them in the same ear up to 9 days, then you switch to the other ear.
