Amir Khan’s next fight will be held at the Nottingham Arena on the 6th October. Currently the opponent has not been announced.

Khan won the Commonwealth lightweight title last week when his opponent Willie Limond retired with a broken jaw and nose after the eighth round. Khan also said that he felt lethargic during his last fight, and will ensure that he rests more before his next fight. After the fight Amir Khan also said that his ambition has always been to become a young world champion, and that he predicts that in a year he’ll be stronger and fit enough to take the challenge. However, boxing is run by the promoters, and promoter Frank Warren insists Khan is still a long way off challenging for a world title.
